Virgin London Marathon 2019

We are thrilled with yet another lovely team of our Gold Bond Virgin London Marathon runners this year and again are totally overwhelmed by the dedication and effort that goes into the build up to the big day. Not only do they have to do most of their demanding training through the wet, snowy, windy, cold and dark winter months they also have to fund raise a minimum pledge for their place. This year they have come up with unique fundraising ideas which have included cake sales and raffles, profit from a Tropic skincare night, coffee mornings, dress down days, sweepstake’s and
people have sponsored one of our runners running playlist, adding songs at £2 a song.

This is just incredible one of our runners made this amazing Purple Tulip Bouquet for a raffle

In the last few months our runners have put in an extra sterling effort and signed up to a huge range of half marathons. These include the Olympic Park, Brighton, Richmond, Stranraer, Wokingham and Hampton Court Palace half marathons. They have all been so supportive in sharing their training runs and ideas and spurring each other on via an ectopic VLM19 Facebook group.

19 mile run done!
We love Nicolas bespoke VLM shoes

The Marathon takes place on Sunday 28th April and we are hoping it is not as hot as last year!  I’m sure that all our runners both bond and own place ones would be extremely grateful for any support you can offer as they continue to train, fund-raise and raise awareness.  Below are links to all their fundraising pages where you can also read their stories:
