Hayley's Letter to her Partner

Babe (partner),

I just wanted to say from the bottom of my heart, what an amazing person you are.  The support you have given to me after having two ectopic pregnancies has been the one thing that has gotten me through it all.  I just wanted to say thank you to you.

I know that it hasn’t been easy for you at all, and in some ways, it’s been harder on you as you have not only suffered two losses but also watched me go through it. Especially the last ectopic where we were told if I hadn’t been in hospital, I probably would have died.  It hit us both very hard.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t be the support you needed.  Everyone concentrated on me but you were going through it too.

Thank you for holding me when I needed a hug, thank you for listening, thank you for the times when I just couldn’t talk and you knew that and just held me in your arms whilst I cried. Thank you for being you.

You couldn’t understand exactly how I was feeling but you tried to and I’ll never forget that.  You encouraged me to talk and with your support I became a volunteer for The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.  Not only is it helping me but I hope I’m helping others and encouraging others to talk.

Our partners also need our support, and we need to be aware of that and I feel sometimes I’ve forgotten about how you were feeling and if you needed any help.  But going through it a second time I think we were both aware of how each other were feeling and I hope I gave you the support you needed too.

All my love

Hayley xx
