I had an ectopic three years ago next month and have currently been undergoing fertility treatment for the last two years. Obviously due to the current situation it stopped abruptly in March and hasn’t restarted again...yet. Since it stopped I had periods...getting later each time until they were 10...

Re: Am I ‘normal’?

Yeah I’m thinking that if I do fall pregnant then that hole would be filled a little bit as it gives me something to focus on and look forward too...not wonder what if. I’ve got everything crossed that things are going to get better....just I’m impatient

Fertility treatment

Hi all, I’m just wondering....has anybody ever had the [drug which will stimulate egg production] injections and been successful? This is my next course of treatment to start but just wondering what people’s opinions are on this? Will I get given this treatment straight away? I hope so...I don’t wan...

Re: Anyone similar?

Sadly it hasn’t meant to be this month....it’s like my body is trying to upset me. However I’m now wondering....has anybody ever had the [drug which will stimulate egg production] injections and been successful? Re: Anyone similar?

Dear Bethney, Periods can be delayed for a number of reasons including stress or even (as surprising as it may sound) excessive exercise or weight loss. Doctors normally consider menstrual cycles of between 23-42 days to be within normal parameters. If you have not had your expected period, we woul...

Re: Am I ‘normal’?

Yeah I totally understand what you mean. I have up and down days where I’m okay with peoples pregnancy’s that’s days where I’m not. Unfortunately I can’t avoid small children as I work in a nursery but I also think that this has helped me overcome some of my anxiety and worries about it. Having chil...

Re: Am I ‘normal’?

No problem. It's a help for me as well to know I'm not crazy. This form has been so helpful and hearing the stories as it can be isolating. I may appear like i have it all together and than all it takes is a little baby to remind me of the bitter reality of what happened. It amazes me how much love...

Re: Am I ‘normal’?

Thank you so much! Since contacting the site, reading other people’s journeys and putting my own feelings out there...I’ve had a better week! Definitely needed this more then I thought! Dear Bethney, I guess we will all cope slightly differently following a traumatic event such as ectopic pregnancy....

Re: Am I ‘normal’?

Thanks for the reply. It’s good to know I’m not alone in this and that my feelings are justified. I’m the same....when I let my feelings out I feel better for a short while. I let people’s comments bother me too much and they don’t know what it’s like to go through this. To me it’s not just the loss...

Am I ‘normal’?

I’m 2 years after my ectopic pregnancy. I had to have my right tube removed and I’m currently receiving fertility treatment to fall pregnant again. My doctor is hopeful so I’m trying to remain positive however recently I’m finding this positivity failing. Somebody at work announced they were pregnan...
