Re: Interstitial Ectopic Pregnancy

Hi I'm so sorry for the late response. I haven’t been online much. Unfortunately no it didn’t go ok in the end. I ruptured after having methotrexate and I lost 3 litres of blood and did need surgery. I have however since recovery conceived twice and both times the baby has made it to the right place...

Re: Tubal Stump Ectopic IVF Pregnancy. Wanted to share my st

Hi Sweetsndsimple I am so sorry!! I can’t imagine what you must be going through! You need to take some time to grieve and you May feel differently about trying again in the future. For now though just allow yourself to feel whatever you need to and don’t be too hard on yourself. Your body has been ...

Re: Tubal Stump Ectopic IVF Pregnancy. Wanted to share my st

Hi Pammy I’m ok thanks. Weird to think this time last year I was pregnant for the second time in the space of a year. Without really trying to get pregnant. Now I’m trying and it isn’t happening. Although, I am late now for my period but I don’t “feel” pregnant in the same way I did before so it’s p...

Re: Tubal Stump Ectopic IVF Pregnancy. Wanted to share my st

Hey These are very testing times here and I know that a lot of doctors have come out of retirement and it appears you just had someone who perhaps wasn’t familiar with the more advanced scanning equipment. Hopefully when you go for your private scan you’ll get some more comfort. Good news is that yo...

Re: Tubal Stump Ectopic IVF Pregnancy. Wanted to share my st

I’m so happy for you sweetandsimple. I’ve been coming back on here every few days to check! I’m so glad it’s really good news! Keep positive and keep us updated. It’s coming up to a year now since my last ectopic and I don’t know why (maybe as I have so much free time with lockdown) but it’s really ...

Re: Tubal Stump Ectopic IVF Pregnancy. Wanted to share my st

Hi sweetandsimple I’m well thanks. I’m trying again too. No success so far. We’ve been trying for 2 months and it’s not catching. It’s worrying me in a way because last two times I got pregnant very easily. I know I ovulate on my left side so the chances of it getting caught by the right tube are sl...

Re: Follow up?

Hi so sorry to hear about your loss. I think it may depend on what type of Surgery you have had. My first ectopic was keyhole and I never had any follow up appointments with either the hospital or gp. My second surgery was the open surgery and I did have a 6 week follow up then with the hospital. X

Re: Tubal Stump Ectopic IVF Pregnancy. Wanted to share my st

Hiya I’m doing a lot better. To be honest, last years ectopic took me by surprise (as I’d never even heard of it). I really struggled to recover both emotionally and physically. I gave myself time before trying again. This time although I’m distraught I feel I was more mentally prepared for the wors...

Re: Tubal Stump Ectopic IVF Pregnancy. Wanted to share my st

Hi sweetandsimple I just wanted to reach out because I too have had a stump tubal ectopic pregnancy. My left tube was removed in July last year due to my first ectopic pregnancy. We got pregnant again in April and i had a bit of spotting but no pain! I had all the symptoms of a pregnancy - morning s...

Re: Second ectopic - this time in the stump of removed left

Yeah I totally get that! Although my husband has now changed his mind, he did say back in May we’re not having kids as we can’t go through this again. I said if I’ve done it once and I’ve done it twice we can go through it a third time if we have to. I don’t want to wake up in 10-15 years time and t...

Re: Second ectopic - this time in the stump of removed left

Hi I just wanted to reach out as literally the same thing happened to me in May! First ectopic was in July 2018 where the left tube was removed and we waited until April to start trying again. Got pregnant straight away but it was in the stump of my left tube. The consultants at the hospital did get...

Re: Coping with pregnant friends/ colleagues

Hi I was exactly in this position this time last year. I had just come back to work after my first ectopic surgery and my colleague announced she was pregnant. She was due 4 weeks after my due date. I was envious and jealous. I felt there’s no way I can watch her grow a healthy pregnancy when I had ...

Re: Returning to work after ectopic pregnancy.

Hello During my first ectopic pregnancy I was operated by keyhole surgery and I had 4 weeks off work and I really did need that time to recover. My second ectopic ruptured and they had to open me up and I’ve been given 6 weeks off work. Allow yourself time and be easy on yourself. I remember going b...

Re: Looking for hope

Hiya

I am so sorry for your losses. I’ve also lost two babies in 10 months. Both of mine were ectopic and I’ve had two surgeries. I also feel like it may never happen. Luckily both my ectopics were on the same side. I hope we all get our rainbow babies soon!

Re: Second ectopic in 3 months

Hi I have had a very similar story to you! In July 2018 I had an ectopic pregnancy in my left tube which was removed. We then got pregnant in April and went for early scans. They couldn’t find anything. They said my womb lining had thickened and my hcg levels were doubling so they think it’s in the ...
