Re: Hcg levels after 2nd Mtx dose

Hello, I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. I only had the one dose back in August last year, but it did take a while for me to reach zero. The lower the number the slower it took to drop. My level progression from 4th August to 19th October (8 weeks and 1 day) was: 40 -> 38 -> 658 -> 1236 ...

Re: Post methotrexate experiences please

Thank you @Withlovesaz and @Ks210!

Yes it did take a while, I think most woman don't take as long as me but I'm a bit of a procrastinator so not surprised my body is also ha :) It got there in the end and that's the most important thing.

Best of luck with your results @Withlovesaz <3

Re: Post methotrexate experiences please

Hi ladies, I'm sorry that you had to go through this. Thinking of you all <3 I only had one dose of methotrexate, but it took almost 60 days for me to reach zero. My day 4 results were +400 to 2100 before they dropped to 1536 on day 7 (My story is here if it helps: https://ectopic.org.uk/talk/viewto...

Re: HCG taking a while to drop to zero after methotrexate

Hello, I finally hit a negative result for HCG on my bloods today (got a result of just 1, which is negative since it is less than 5). That phone call was such a relief for me. It's closure on the chapter and I feel like we can look forward to trying again in a couple of months (after the 3 month re...

Re: HCG taking a while to drop to zero after methotrexate

Hello, I just wanted to give a little update for anyone that may read this thread in the future. I had my next blood test yesterday and the level went down again to 8. So while it's being very slow, it is going in the right direction. I'm currently 51 days since I got methotrexate, so it can take a ...

Re: Low and plateauing HCG - Anyone had simiilar experience?

Hi there, I'm at the tail end of my ectopic journey for my first pregnancy (hopefully next Monday will be my final blood test) and I had similar levels to you. My starting numbers (before we realised it was ectopic) were roughly: 20DPO: 40 (Dr said that these levels were lower than expected for this...

Re: HCG taking a while to drop to zero after methotrexate

Hi Karen, Thank you for the reply. What you said is what I was thinking, but it's still nice to talk it out. I am very grateful that I did not need to have the surgery, so while I'm disappointed that my levels are not negative yet, I'm not upset about it. I would prefer this route than surgery. I st...

HCG taking a while to drop to zero after methotrexate

Hello everyone, I'm hoping maybe someone else will be able to advise me on my worry. I'm hoping it's just my body taking a while, but I'm currently on day 43 after the methotrexate shot for my ectopic pregnancy and I am yet to get to a negative result. It actually went up from 13 to 14 today :( I go...
