Re: Pain months later

Hey! I have exactly this three years post ectopic and tube removal. There isn’t even a tube there and I get pain. Always if I need a number 2 or ovulating. I had a child after my ectopic by caesarean and I asked her to look for scar tissue and adhesion and the surgeon said everything was totally nor...

Re: Advice please

The odd occasion I pop back on these forums because they helped me so much when I was in this period of life. I had an ectopic end of 2020, I was 33 and had a Fallopian tube removed in an emergency surgery. I was so traumatised by it. It was my third pregnancy, I had a miscarriage and then a son the...

Re: A story of hope with a happy ending

Yes more than one ectopic is just dreadful for people but there’s a strong chance it’ll all be ok for people who do get pregnant again!

A story of hope with a happy ending

Hi all I wanted to come on here and share my experience and share some hope. If you’re not in that frame of mind you may not want to read on but I remember when I had my ectopic I was desperate to read stories of hope. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and then I got pregnant immediately and I...

Re: Anyone only have one blocked tube left?? Advise please

Hi I lost my right tube to an ectopic. I was told by a sonographer my left tube may be blocked. I paid £500 for a private hycosy test which is the dye test. It showed my tube to be open which was a great relief. I am now 20 weeks pregnant and praying for a positive outcome. I also have a three year ...

Re: Folate supplement

I started to take pregnacare at 0 hcg which has normal folic acid dose in it. I then asked gp to test my folate after 3 months to check it was normal before trying again. It was at a normal level!

Re: Pain/ discomfort around scar after surgery

Hey! I literally am coming on here for the very same reason. I have pain where my right tube was every time I get my period and then at random times throughout my cycle like ovulation. But when I get my period my right side is often very sore at first. My tube removal was November 2020. I think it’s...

Re: Pain where tube was when I have my period

Thanks so much!
It’s not consistent bad pain and like you said it can be on both sides but never at the same time. I think I’ll wait and see what happens over the next few months before going to the doctor as I think it is probably normal!

Re: So scared the MTX second dose won’t work

It is so so hard the waiting. I remember thinking I just want to be ‘not pregnant’ which was the opposite of what I truly wanted but I just wanted the ordeal to be over. Once it is you may feel a bit numb from it all but you will also feel safe. I felt a lot of relief when I knew it was over and I c...

Re: So scared the MTX second dose won’t work

Oh krissy I am so sorry. I’ve been here and it is RUBBISH. My ectopic was diagnosed just after my sons second birthday in October and I had methotrexate which failed. I was gutted because my starting hcg was low and they said it works for 85% of people. My second dose was given and after a few days ...

Pain where tube was when I have my period

Hi all Just looking for a bit of advice/reassurance. I lost my right tube in October following a grim long winded management and injections. I have my period at the moment (annoyingly as we have just started to try again) and I have pain where my tube was removed. This has happened every period sinc...

Re: Post methotrexate experiences please

Hi! I actually did have to have a second dose but then ended up with emergency surgery yesterday because I was in a lot of pain and it was actually because my tube was about to rupture. BUT they did say to me some people don’t really get much pain or bleeding so it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not ...

Re: Miscarriage After Ectopic-Success stories needed!

I’m glad I could help with a little positivity. I developed crippling OCD when pregnant with my son because I was totally convinced I would loose him. I think back to all the hours I spent terrified and then he was totally fine. I remember thinking I would never carry a baby successfully. And now I ...
