Re: Two losses in four months

Hi Kelly, Sorry to hear your news. It’s rough isn’t it. I thought about attending a repeated loss group but their all miscarriages and ectopic is so different so decided not to. Feel a bit out on my own and sounds like you might feel similar. If it helps I actually had my son at aged 35. I’m now 40 ...

Re: Wanting another baby after loss

I conceived after my first period after the ectopic and had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks - I am emotionally a complete mess please give yourself some time before trying again as it’s a pretty horrendous place to be right now

Two losses in four months

I was wondering what peoples experiences are of losing a second pregnancy - my first which was an ectopic I felt people were caring and we got cards, flowers, messages - I have had a miscarriage a few months after my ectopic and I feel like people don’t care - like I had the sympathy already for my ...

Re: Return to work

Hey, I had 7 weeks off in the end I kept thinking I was going back and then didn’t because I wasn’t right emotionally and physically - I also got an infection post op and suffered with dizziness for some time- I still do a bit. I then did a phased return for a few weeks and now I’m taking annual lea...

Re: Scared to get pregnant again after my ectopic

Hey it’s good to hear of success following loss.

Can I ask how many weeks were you when you had your first scan? I had a letter to say that I needed to be around 6 weeks to have an early scan when becoming pregnant again but can a sac be seen sooner?

Re: Scared to get pregnant again after my ectopic

Hey, I was literally just thinking about this last week! I’m 7 weeks post op and I’ve had sex once around ovulation which I wasn’t sure about and now I’m freaking out about what happens if I’m pregnant - I have flights and things booked with the aim to have things to look forward to and try and feel...

Re: Hcg level increased exponentially on day 4 after methotrexate

It sounds like it had to be at nearly 5 weeks to see something then? It’s all pretty shocking and I would be attempting to take this further when you are ready - I haven’t experienced this as such but definitely a few let downs leading to a rupture that I will be putting an official complaint about ...

Re: Management options - scared

You have been through so much you shouldn’t feel guilty.l but I know it’s difficult - I flit between feeling guilty and then feeling like I should be able to take the time off needed after everything we have been through. I will be 7 weeks post op Monday and physically I’m feeling more like me, I ha...

Re: Management options - scared

Hey enfys I wanted to say I’m really sorry for everything you have been through. I was sent a text after discharge asking me to rate my experience and make comment, I commented that I thought it was insensitive to have pregnant women from A&E coming into the 4 bedded ward I was in with bleeding ...

Re: Recovering after ectopic pregnancy

I don’t want to alarm you but I ruptured at 40hcg originally thinking I was having a miscarriage so did my usual thing - please don’t take the risk I was doing aerial yoga, heavy handed gardening, carrying heavy boxes and I think that if I had known my risk I wouldn’t have done any of this! Take it ...

A cyst

So after what feels like a fight trying to get my doctor notes to understand what I have lost I made another call today and they missed the one document I wanted - the Histology report. Apparently there was a benign serous cyst that was also found with the tube and pregnancy tissue - could this have...

Re: HCG levels?

Hello and sorry you are going through this. I’m not sure if mine was a rare case but I started bleeding at 5 weeks my levels were 223 and then two weeks later at what would be 7 weeks I was in terrible pain my levels were at 43 and I had ruptured. I’ve had no reason to why I ruptured with such low l...

Re: Did anyone look at the remains?

Thanks Karen. I didn’t expect this option and with it been so rushed I picked this option so I had time to think and then some nurses call it a baby and other nurses call it tissue and so it made me really stressed and confused to the point where I think I need to look to confirm what I have actuall...

Did anyone look at the remains?

The remains are ready for collection - I feel I need to look to understand what I have lost, to make sense of how developed it was and whether it had a heartbeat or not etc. Has anyone looked? I’ve been told it’s tissue so assuming it’s not foetus like but I’m not sure. Did anyone look and regret th...

Re: Low blood pressure post surgery

Hey, Thank you for getting back to me. Yes they did consider viral. I went back today for the third time and they aren’t worried and did some neurological tests and to be honest it’s gradually getting better just taking its time like the recovery I guess. Good to know I’m not the only one who’s expe...

Re: Is it too soon to return to work?

I know this is an old post so I might not get a response but I have been lightheaded and dizzy from week 1 to now at 3.5 weeks I had hoped it was getting better but it isn’t. I wondered how long it took these symptoms to subside for you both please?

Re: Expectant Management - what to expect?

Hey sorry to hear you’re going through this. I had a rupture three weeks ago and thought it might be helpful to share a bit of what I went through on the lead up to surgery. I initially thought I was having a miscarriage my levels at 223, two weeks later I got terrible cramps I managed them with par...
