Re: Pregnant again after two ectopics

Just realised you said HSG and not HCG! No I didn’t have a HSG done after either of my ectopics. My gynaecologist said that because it was a tubal abortion ectopic (so the pregnancy was on the end of the tube rather than in the tube) that it couldn’t’ve caused a blockage so a HSG wasn’t necessary. S...

Re: Pregnant again after two ectopics

Hi Beenie, thank you for your support that’s really kind :) I haven’t had a hcg yet, just a home pregnancy test. My EPU won’t see me without a referral from my GP and the GP surgery is closed until Tuesday. Not great timing with the Bank Holiday weekend! I’ve got an appointment on Wed so hopefully I...

Pregnant again after two ectopics

Hi all I found out this morning that I’m pregnant again and I’m completely terrified. I think I’m four weeks pregnant, although the second line on the test was really dark, so maybe I’m a bit further along? I don’t know if it works like that! I’ve had two ectopic pregnancies, one ruptured my left tu...

Re: How do I move on?

Hello I am so, so sorry for your loss. You’ve been through a terrible time, and the last few years must have been such an emotional rollercoaster. But you’re not alone. I’ve had three miscarriages, two of which were ectopic and it’s been devastating. I found sharing my story and listening to others ...

Hi I’m so sorry to hear this, it’s devastating. But you’re being really strong, and you will get through this. My hcg also increased on day 4 after methotrexate. They told me this is normal because it doesn’t start working straight away. They’re looking for a decrease of at least 15% between day 4 a...

Re: 3rd week after MTX_severe cramping and swollen stomach

Hi I started to bleed about 10 days after methotrexate (so when my hcg started to fall a bit quicker, it didn’t fall very fast at the start). This lasted a few days and I think it was the lining of my uterus which built up from the pregnancy. And then I had a period about 10 days after I got a negat...

Re: Struggling after ectopic

I’m so sorry for your loss. I feel the same. I had my first ectopic in October last year. I was nowhere near recovered when I found out 8 weeks after surgery that I was pregnant again. Devastatingly it was ectopic again in the other tube, and I had to have surgery again in December. It’s been nearly...

Re: 3rd week after MTX_severe cramping and swollen stomach

Hi I had the same thing around 2 weeks after my shot of methotrexate. My hcg was falling, but the pain was unbearable. I was told it could be where the pregnancy is coming away and aborting from the tube as the methotrexate works. I had a scan which didn’t find anything sinister. But I think that a ...

Re: 2 or more ectopics - were your symptoms the same each ti

Hi all I’ve had two ectopic pregnancies. The first ruptured my left tube at 8 weeks pregnant, and the second was on the fibrial end of my right tube. Both ectopics were incredibly different, with very different symptoms. With the first one I started to bleed heavily at 5 weeks pregnant. I’d previous...
