6 months later... body still playing catch up

Post by nicolestubbs »

Hi,

I’m 6 months down the line of losing my left tube and I have been iron tablets since then, it seems to be that when the course has stopped my iron drops. (Put on iron as had blood transfusion and lost 2litres of blood) but I’m now also on folic acid.

I’m wondering if anyone else has had this experience and if after months of taking both iron and folic acid there body has gone back to normal?

Any help would be great :)

Thank you xx

Hi Nicolestubbs,

I am so sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy and loss. Each recovery is so individual and it can take some time before our bodies go back to a more "normal" state. While I'm not medically qualified to comment on your specific case, I would always encourage you to bring up your concerns with your GP and for possible further testing. Please continue to be kind to yourself during this recovery period. Even though it might feel like a long time, six months is still a relatively recent period of time for such a traumatic event.

With good wishes,

Michele
