Advice please

Post by Hopefully1 »

Hi, we suffered an ectopic pregnancy feb 19 and I lost my right tube. We have been trying with no luck since. This month I had a faint positive for 2 days on 2 different brand tests and then it faded and my period started. Since then I have been getting some cramps, sometimes sharp pain on my lower left side. Is there any chance there could be an ectopic with a now negative hpt? My last ectopic my test lines progressed. Thanks for reading.

Just to update, i've spoken to the early pregnancy unit and have arranged a blood test on Friday just to be on the safe side.

Dear Hopefully1,
I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through.
I am glad to see that you have a scan booked in, I think that is the safest course of action. It could be that you have sadly suffered a miscarriage, however without blood tests or a scan this is difficult to tell. If your pain increases or you develop shoulder tip pain or start to feel dizzy and unwell whilst waiting for the test, I would strongly advise seeking urgent medical advice.
We will be here for you whenever you need us,
Sending much love and warm hugs,
Karen x
