Follow up scans

Post by KCN9 »

Hi I had MXT followed by left tube removal in November. They found a cyst on the right ovary and said on discharge I would have follow up scan in 8 weeks. This appointment hasn’t come through and not had any luck chasing it. Question is how important is it to have before we try again next month?

Dear KCN9,
As I am not medically trained it is difficult for us to comment on how important it is to have the scan before trying to conceive. Some cysts do settle of their own accord, however I would try and chase it, even if just for piece of mind.
If you cannot get hold of the scanning department, you could always speak to the Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) within your local hospital to chase this for you.

Sending much love,
Karen x
