Symptoms of Rupture after MTX?
Symptoms of Rupture after MTX?
So, for those of you that have had methotrexate and gone on to have a rupture, can you tell me what your symptoms were? Or if you didn’t have a rupture, but were worried about one as I am, how you managed?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Symptoms of Rupture after MTX?
I'm so sorry to hear that you are suffering from an ectopic pregnancy and loss, and that you are going through this worrying time. I hope your symptoms have eased since you wrote this post or that you were able to be seen if they increased. It is very important to monitor for increasing pain or bleeding, as you are not below non-pregnant levels.
In my case, I was on MTX and then ruptured. I had vomiting, went unconscious for a moment, and then felt the shoulder tip pain, very clearly. However, I was conscious enough to tell my husband to call the ambulance as I realised what was happening and was clear throughout the hospital engagement.
I know the waiting is so difficult, especially with the symptoms of MTX. You know your body best and I always encourage women to continue speaking with their doctors, calling 111, or going to A&E if they have concerns.
With good wishes,
Michele
