Bleeding after sex

Post by Jagdeep Sagoo »

Hi all,
I suffered an ectopic pregnancy 3 months ago and I had my right tube removed.

My husband and I have started ttc again, and after my surgery my periods have been pretty normal, however after my last period every time we have had sex I bleed for 2-3 days, it has started to worry me a little as I'm not sure if this is normal.
Has anyone else had the same symptoms as me?

Good Morning,

I'm in the same predicament.

I had ectopic methotrexate 5weeks ago and just started being sexual together obviously protected cause cant TTC until beginning August.

My worry is I'm also experiencing the same problem I'm bleeding little after sex but not sure if its normal or not 😔

Hi Rachel,

Sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy.

I've made a doctors appointment as I've been stressing out, and I'm sure it's not doing any good for my body. I would advise if it continues to make a appointment with the GP.

I will let you know how my appointment goes.

Hi Thanks For Reply.

Yeah please let me know what they say, I'm hoping it might just be that my body trying heal inside even though I didn't have surgery.

Hi Rachel,

I had my appointment today and the doctor said I may have something called cervical ectropion, it's not life threatening and it does not affect your fertility. From my understand it's just cells that line the inside of the cervical canal can spread to the outer surface of your cervix, hence why I was bleeding after intercourse.
If you are still concerned about the bleeding speak to your GP, I feel much better after getting some reassurance.

Take care

The doctor said it goes away itself, it can be treated too but I rather not take anything for it and let it naturally go. Xx

Happy to help.

I had my right tube removed in March at 7weeks pregnant, my excitement only lasted 2 weeks until I was told I had an ectopic pregnancy :( .

The only thing that keeps me going is remaining positive and always reminding myself I can still have a baby even with 1 tube. Its taken me 2 months to get to this stage, however I do have my odd sad days too.

Oh I'm so sorry.

I had the methotrexate at 6weeks pregnant I've never experienced ectopic before had healthy birth with my daughter who is now 9years old.

I've been trying for 3years with my current husband (not my daughter dad)

So when we got the 4 positive tests we was over the mood but then for it all to be taken away from us.

I'm now discharged from hospital but have so many off days wondering why it happened to us but like you also thinking I will get pregnant by end of year hopfully.
