Having my first period 5 weeks post op. Wondering if I can wear a tampon? I know the usual risks etc but just wary that I don’t know how I’m healing up internally

Dear maylee,
We advise that you do not wear tampons when you are bleeding with treatment or as your hCG levels are reducing. As this is your first period after this bleed, yes you can go back to wearing tampons or your usual sanitary protection.
