Cramps 4 weeks after methotrexate
Cramps 4 weeks after methotrexate
I’m really new to this forum but unfortunately not to ectopic pregnancy!
I previously had an ectopic in November 2017 and had my right tube removed.
I then found out again in April that I was pregnant again with another ectopic.
This is such a hard situation but this time I have taken 2 doses of methotrexate. 4 weeks later the pregnancy mass has grown 2 cm but drs believe that the sac is miscarrying and bleeding hence why I am still bleeding on and off.
Has anyone else gone through something like this or similar like heavy cramping on the side of ectopic or the mass getting bigger.
I know I haven’t ruptured thankfully but just want someone else to comment. Im losing my mind with worry.

Re: Cramps 4 weeks after methotrexate
I had my first dose of methotrexate yesterday and am waiting for the side effects to kick in so I dont really have any words of wisdom as I'm waiting to see if it works for me too, but I hope things go as well as they can for you.
Re: Cramps 4 weeks after methotrexate
Sorry you’re going through this also. I hope you overcome it without any problems.
I’m hoping this ectopic passes very soon i had my 1st dose of methotrexate on 27/4 and 2nd on 30/4 so feels like a long time ago now.
I know that the methotrexate route is timely but i just want to be back to normal and able to not look out for every change in my body.
Please make sure you report any concerns you have to the EPU for reassurance.

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and losses,
I too had cramping after having methotrexate injection, I think I remember it getting worse around 4days after the injection.
Unfortunately however, I am not medically trained so would always advise speaking to your EPU or GP with any worsening pain.
Sending much love,
Karen x
