First Time

Post by JadeRobo »

Hello everyone,

This is the first time posting, ive read so many positive advice in this forum about this horrible situation, i had an ectopic pregnancy a couple of weeks ago, im 23. This was my first ever pregnancy and i had never heard of this until this happened and have been looking up and im very worried about this happening again, im currently still off work and the thought of returning to work is really getting to me. I have been the doctors for blood test as it has only been a few weeks and my blood pressure was so low and i was very weak and this is what the hospital advised and ive been waiting for the results back and they've not said anything apart from i need to go back for more blood test, this is really worrying me, do you think this is something to worry about? im going to ring the doctors first thing.

Thanks you
xx

Dear JadeRobo,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,it is a very frightening experience and you have friends here who understand.
Sadly I am not medically trained and without access to your medical notes, it is very difficult for me to advise you on your blood results. If you are worried however, please do not hesitate to contact your doctor for information about your blood results.
With regards to returning to work, it is worth bearing in mind that experiencing ectopic pregnancy is a very frightening experience and many women need to take time to help them deal with the psychological/emotional impact of the loss of their baby, being diagnosed with a life-threatening condition and undergoing treatment. Please speak to your GP about having further time off work if required.

Please continue to lean on us for as long as you need,
Sending much love and warm hugs,
Karen x
