Pregnancy after two ectopics

Post by S1121 »

Hi all,

I just wanted to share my story as I searched the internet high and low for positive stories following ectopic pregnancy.

My first ectopic was in my right tube and could be seen on an ultrasound scan, I was given methotrexate and luckily only needed the one dose.

My second was known as PUL (pregnancy in unknown location), it was not seen on the ultrasound as my hcg levels were significantly lower than the first. This however was in my right side, the pain although not horrendous was identical to that I felt last time. This time round we went with expectant management.

I had lost hope at this point but asked to be referred for a HSG test which showed that both my tubes were clear so we gave it one more try! The month after my HSG I found out that I was pregnant and I had an early scan..:. the yolk sac is in the correct place!! I did have one sided pain which was extremely scary! It is still early days for me but it I wanted to give others in a similar situation that there is still chance, it does happen following two ectopics!
