Holiday 4 weeks after surgery

Post by ELT »

Hi, I had a laparoscopy 1 week ago where I had both my tube and pregnancy removed and small internal bleed cleaned up. We are due to go to Mexico in3 weeks and my children are so excited to go that I’m so worried about letting them down if I’m not well enough. My doctor has said I will be fine to travel but after 2 c-sections and a previous laparoscopy I know that recovery can take a lot longer than suggested. Has anyone travelled 4 weeks after surgery?

Dear ELT,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss,
I cannot give you personal experience but I would be guided by how you feel and medical advice. Please do not feel guilty if you are not up to this right now. It is more important that you recover safely.

Sending much love,
Karen x
