HCG stuck at 2 16 weeks after second dose of methotrexate

Hello, I’ve been stuck at hcg of 2 for 4 weeks now. My HCG had gotten into the 4 thousands back in May. My first dose of methotrexate did not work and after the second dose my levels were dropping as hoped. I’ve had done plateaus along the path of hcg dropping but i’m worried i will never get to zero. i’ve had 4 normal periods since june. Is there something wrong? My doc ordered a vaginal ultrasound today but haven’t gotten results back. help! i just want this to be over.

Hi there, firstly I’m sorry that you have to go through this. You are strong, remember that. I just wanted to let you know that you don’t have to worry about HCG being stuck at 2 as this is the normal non-pregnancy level. We are just looking at under 5 and we are clear ◡̈ Wish your health care provider had let you know.

Thanks for your reply. Do labs differ in what is considered normal? My doctor is insisting i continue to get weekly blood draws until it reaches zero. I’ve also been experiencing a ton of hair loss since the methotrexate and the ectopic. Do you guys know when this will stop? How long before you felt normal emotionally?
