Stairs and Methotrexate

Post by Silraen »

I've just been discharged from hospital after having my methotrexate shot 4 days ago.
The doctor advised me to avoid making any effort and don't lighting weights or exercising. Silly me forgot to ask if it was fine to go down and up the stairs. Have any of you worried about the same, or am I just letting my anxiety hey the better of me?

Dear Silraen,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss,
We advise avoiding anything that increases pressure on your lower tummy, so lifting heavy objects, heavy house work. We would advise only completing light tasks and gentle walks. Stairs will be fine.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Up and down the stairs is fine, listen to your body, if it's aching in pain take your time going up and down them.

I personally didn't exercise the whole time until I got to a hcg of 0. Just to be safe, didn't want to risk rupture.
