Pain on side of ectopic months later treaded via MTX
Pain on side of ectopic months later treaded via MTX
In June I had an ectopic pregnancy which was treated via MTX. I since keep experiencing pain on the side I had the ectopic. I spoke to a doctor and he said it can take up to a year for the body to heal as the cells are renewing or something like that so you can still get pain on the side it was on. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s been 6 months and I feel so alone. It’s so frustrating as there’s not much information out there if this is normal or not. The pain is exactly how it was when I was having the ectopic so it’s just a constant reminder and worry that do I have lasting damage? May I struggle to conceive?
Can anyone relate to pain months after?
Thanks

Sorry for your experience.
Yes i can relate, I had an ectopic a year ago, treatment was mxt, took 10 weeks to get to an hcg of 0, then after that I've experienced pain in my hip where I believe the pregnancy was, it was never found, it's happened randomly, on my period, when I've taken hormones to try and conceive. I have a fibroid near the area so part of me thinks it could be that but then i think it could be a weakness there.
