on the 1st jan i had a scan to confirm a left ectopic pregnancy (first ever pregancy). That day i had surgery and they took my left tube out but kept the ovary. The emotional recovery is hard enough but phsyically it feels like its all "gone wrong" i took 4 weeks before i was physically back to "normal fitness". Following the surgey ive had raging thrush and urine infections which required 3 courses of antibiotics, i then had my first period 5 weeks post surgery which was better then expected but the pain was all in the left side again. My scar is buldging outward and now painful to the touch. The new hurdle seems to be intercourse, it is excruciatingly painful even to insert anything and its been days and the pain hasnt subsided, i cant sit down with out discomfort.
The main problem is support, my GP doesnt know how to deal with this and tells me to call the early pregancy unit, and they tell me to speak to the GP? Everytime its like a kick in the gut having to re-explain everything but how am i now meant to try and reconcieve when its to painful to have sex? Should i try and get refered to a gyne? Any support / suggestion would be appreciated
