Two week wait for negative still positive!

Post by PowerThroughAgain »

So I've been on here a few times and it was such a roller coaster of my HCG going up and down and up and down for week. Eventually the hcg took a big drop down to 20.5 so I was discharged and advices to take a test two weeks later and expect a negative.

I'm 3 days off the two weeks and my tests are still very much positive.

What happens if it's still positive in three days, what will they do?

Help me anxiety please :(

Dear powerthroughagain,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss,
If your levels are still positive, I would suggest contacting your medical team. I am sorry that I cannot provide individualized medical advice and the decision on 'what next' would ultimately depend upon how high your levels are and if there are any changes in scans such a fluid in your abdomen. It maybe that your levels have plateaued at a lower level and that is why you are still getting a positive result. We do sometimes see levels slowing down as they get lower.
If levels have risen, it is possible they may recommend a methotrexate injection, but again, this is not something I can comment on and would be best to discuss with your medical team.
We have more information on treatment options here

I hope you get more answers over the next coming days.
Sending much love,
Karen x
