Priority Setting Partnership (PSP) for Ectopic Pregnancy

30 Jun 2022 | By Kerri

The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, along with an international team of healthcare professionals and researchers, is supporting a Priority Setting Placement (PSP) for ectopic pregnancy. This project aims to identify and prioritise unanswered research questions about the causes, diagnosis, and benefits and safety of various treatments for ectopic pregnancy.

The partnership is bringing together people from different backgrounds to ensure that those who fund and undertake future research in ectopic pregnancy answer questions which really matter to people with lived experience of ectopic pregnancy, healthcare professionals, and researchers.

There have been two survey rounds to this project so far. Based on the responses from those two rounds, a list of unanswered research questions has been created. We are now gathering feedback at meetings to decide on which questions should be in the finalised list of research priorities. There will be one in-person meeting and two Zoom meetings.

The in-person meeting will be on Friday 16 June from 1030-1230 in Central London (Euston area, NW1). Spaces are limited and will be allocated on first come, first served basis. If you would like to join, please indicate your interest by filling out this form by Tuesday 13 June. You can join one of the meetings even if you have not participated in either of the surveys so far

Thank you for taking part in this important research.

We understand that questions surrounding ectopic pregnancy can sometimes cause emotions to resurface and we would like to remind you that our support services are available should you need them.
