Danni and Sam's Story
We recently completed the Bath 50km Ultra Challenge in support of The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. Our family came along to cheer us on as we tackled the ultra marathon (quite the feat considering neither of us had even done a standard marathon before!). We were super fortunate with lovely weather all day, although the sun certainly made those Bath hills feel even tougher.
It was an incredible event, and we were very proud to take on this challenge to raise both awareness and fundraise for EPT.
Why did we decide to fundraise with EPT? At the end of 2024, we went through an ectopic pregnancy. It was an emotional, scary and unpredictable experience that sadly led to Danni needing emergency Salpingectomy surgery. The recovery, both physically and emotionally, is still ongoing in many ways, but with the incredible support and resources from the EPT community we have felt surrounded by love and understanding throughout this journey.
A huge thank you to everyone that has supported us both with the fundraising event and during this difficult time.

A huge thank you to Danni and Sam for so bravely and passionately taking on the Bath Ultra 50K, raising essential funds and awareness for The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.
If you feel inspired to take on a challenge of your own and support our work, we’d love to hear from you. Visit our fundraising page, or get in touch with our Fundraising Co-ordinator, Jill, who’s always happy to help and guide you:
