Emma and Simon's Story
I decided to run my first 10k race to support The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. In March 2018, I suffered a ruptured ectopic pregnancy that resulted in emergency surgery. The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust were an incredible source of support to myself and my family during this time and in the months of recovery that followed.
If you know me well, you will know that I am not a natural runner (it is not pretty or fast) but I have been training since January for this event. I am not planning on setting any records; my aim is to get it done no matter what my time is.
I wanted to do this whilst supporting a charity that means a lot to myself and my family.
Emma completed the run in 1 hour 42 minutes which is fabulous, all her hard work training really paid off.
Our huge thanks goes out to Emma and Simon for their amazing work taking on this 10k, raising much needed funds and awareness.
