James' Story
Sadly, a few years ago James and Amy experienced the sadness of an ectopic pregnancy. Amy was in pain, and after being dismissed by the Doctors, they ended up in the hospital accident and emergency department. A whirlwind of scans, painkillers and then emergency surgery followed in only two days. With very little understanding of ectopic pregnancies at the time, what they were, what it meant, and how it affects life moving forward, they both struggled to fully appreciate what had happened.
We at The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust were able to became a source of information and support to them both, as they tried to process their emotions and the reality of what had happened.
James and Amy both bravely decided to sign up to, and train, for this amazing ride, 100 miles from London to Essex (Amy for a separate charity). They said the ride was great and the weather just about held out. James was able to proudly wear his vest to further spread awareness of ectopic pregnancies.
Our heartfelt thanks goes out to James (and Amy) for his passion and determination cycling 100 miles, raising fantastic funds and awareness.
