On 1 August, Whitney’s Legacy held an event for Ectopic Pregnancy Awareness Day. Attended by family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues, the day included speeches about Whitney, her life, and legacy. With hundreds of people joining in, there was a lot of affection and memories shared. There was also a speech on ectopic pregnancy to raise awareness about the condition and possible devastating impacts.
Susan said: “It is my life’s work to bring about awareness of ectopic pregnancies and other dangerous pregnancy complications that risk lives. We will continue to hold events to raise money to help these women who are in dire circumstances. I never want another family to go through what Whitney‘s family and friends are going through. And our main goal is to know that we saved a life and make it possible for woman seeking life saving healthcare.”
The event raised £200 for The EPT and there are generous plans to donate more in the future. Funds raised will enable The EPT continue its mission to raise awareness about ectopic pregnancy so that the public and health professionals alike can recognise signs and women can seek medical care. We are grateful for Susan’s support for the work that we do and our immense thanks. Our hearts go out to Susan and all of Whitney’s dear family and friends and we hope that this meaningful day brought some comfort through heartfelt remembrance together.
Our heartfelt thanks to Susan for her passionate support creating Whitney’s Legacy, raising vital funds and awareness.
