Tom's Story

Tom decided to sign up and run in the Big Half, London.  Very sadly Tom and his wife lost their baby to an ectopic pregnancy in 2023. Following a bilateral salpingectomy (this is when both fallopian tubes are removed). They were left with heartbreak and felt at a loss with a feeling of little hope of having another baby.

Taking on this challenge has given Tom a positive focus by training and raising essential awareness and vital funds.

The day of the Big Half arrived, it was a hot one but Tom had a  a fantastic day saying how incredible the atmosphere was which really helped to boost him through the half marathon.   Tom also had a lot of support from those running with him after other runners saw the EPT T-shirt that he was wearing, awareness really is so powerful.

Our huge thanks goes out to Tom for his amazing hard work and support taking on this half marathon, raising essential funds and awareness.
