Zoe's Experience

After my ectopic surgery in September I was very lost, I have always been healthy and never experienced anything like this before. We were both devastated, we have waited a long time to fall pregnant. It all seemed so unfair. One sleepless night soon after, I discovered the EPT site and found that a lot of what I was experiencing physically and emotionally was normal and more importantly ok. Through some research I found it wasn’t just me who had never heard of ectopic. That’s when I looked into all the work the EPT does, and decided then to try and help out. So I ordered a running top and started planning runs. 8 fancy dress runs, 8 weeks in a row. I really wasn’t expecting the reaction I got from friends and family. It was very nerve racking sharing my story with everyone and asking them for sponsorship. After all its not the sort of thing you talk about, but it should be. It has been an amazing journey. My friends and family have been so supportive, I got people talking about pregnancy loss and ectopics and hopefully raised awareness. The £835 I have raised has been way beyond my expectations and I hope it makes a difference. I will continue to wear my running top on my runs.
