Christina's story
Taking on the Aberdeen Kiltwalk, Christina embraced the unpredictable Scottish weather with a smile – and a powerful reason behind every step. Having experienced an ectopic pregnancy last year, she chose to walk for The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust as a way of giving back, and honouring her journey.
“I had a wonderful day, and although I think Aberdeen saw all four seasons in the space of the day, I still really enjoyed being part of the event and raising a bit of money for you guys!”
Even before the rain made its dramatic appearance, Christina was already feeling the impact of the day.
“I felt really proud to be walking for The EPT and it felt somehow healing after going through my ectopic pregnancy last year and really seeing the impact that the Trust have on anyone going through the heart breaking situation.”
And while she’s characteristically modest about her efforts…
“I was proud to be able to raise even a little bit of funds for the incredible work done through the Trust.”
…we know how much every single step and every single pound matters. Christina’s kindness, courage, and support mean the world, and her story will no doubt bring comfort to others walking their own difficult paths.
From all of us at The EPT: thank you, Christina. We’re so grateful you were part of the Kiltwalk and so proud to have you on our fundraising team.
If Christina has inspired you to take on a challenge of your own and support our work, we’d love to hear from you. Visit our fundraising page, or get in touch with our Fundraising and Campaigns Co-ordinator, Kerri, who’s always happy to help and guide you: kerri@ectopic.org.uk
