What I wish more people knew about ectopic pregnancy...
My period seemed totally normal – I had the same cramps, same bleeding. I had no reason to think anything was different, so I didn’t question it. I didn’t have any of the “classic” ectopic pregnancy warning signs, like shoulder pain.
Then, a few days after my period ended, the pain and bleeding came back, only much worse. That night, I ended up in the hospital emergency department in unbearable pain.
Please remember: not all pregnancies or complications look textbook. Trust your body. Ask questions. Advocate for yourself.
