Fred's Story
On Sunday 8th June, on what happened to be his birthday, Fred laced up his trainers and took on the Richmond Park 10K in support of The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, raising funds and awareness for a cause that had become deeply personal to him and his wife, Ellie.
“The race went really well, the conditions were fantastic and meant I could really take it all in on the day, plus I managed a time of 55 minutes which I was happy with.”
Fred’s photos from the day say it all with smiles before and after, with the joy of crossing the finish line clear on his face. But behind the achievement lies something even more meaningful:
“On behalf of Ellie and myself, thank you to everyone at The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust for all the brilliant work you do. I’m just so pleased I was able to raise some money and give something back to the organisation who were able to provide us help in our moment of crisis.”
Fred also shared that the emails from the EPT team, especially those leading up to the race, had been a source of inspiration and encouragement as he prepared.
We’re so grateful to Fred for running in support of The EPT, and to Ellie for allowing us to share their story. Every step, every donation, and every story helps others feel less alone – and makes our work possible.
Thank you, Fred!
