Thank you for choosing to support The EPT – we’re so glad you’re here! Whether you’re taking on a big challenge, hosting an event, or trying something completely your own, every effort makes a real difference for those affected by ectopic pregnancy.

Fundraising can feel like a big task, but it’s also a chance to have fun, be creative, and inspire others. This page is here to guide you with friendly, practical advice and clever ideas to help you reach your goals, engage your supporters, and enjoy the journey. You’re part of a community that cares, and we’re here to cheer you on every step of the way.

Boost Your Fundraising Page

If you haven’t yet set up your fundraising page, you can contact Kerri at kerri@ectopic.org.uk for support.

Your fundraising page is the heart of your efforts – the place where people learn about your challenge, get inspired, and make donations. Here are some top tips to make it stand out and attract more support:

  • Set a clear target – fundraisers who display a goal can increase donations by up to 45%. It gives your supporters something tangible to aim for alongside you.

  • Add a profile photo – whether it’s a picture of you, your team, or your challenge, pages with images see around 23% more donations. A photo helps people connect with your story instantly.

  • Share updates and photos regularly – every post counts! Updates on your progress, behind-the-scenes moments, or training photos can boost support by around 2% per update.

  • Create a QR code – make it even easier for people to donate. Simply add /qrcode to the end of your Enthuse page URL, press enter, and screenshot it. Perfect for sharing at events, in your workplace, or on printed materials.

  • Write your story – tell people why you’re fundraising, what inspires you, and what The EPT means to you. Personal stories are powerful motivators and help your supporters feel part of your journey.

With a few simple touches, your page can go from good to great – helping you reach your goal and make a real difference for those affected by ectopic pregnancy.

Sharing Your Story

Your story is the hub for your fundraising journey – it’s what inspires people to support you and helps them feel connected to your cause. The more personal and genuine you are, the more impact your story will have.

  • Personal choice – Sharing your story is entirely up to you. There’s never any pressure to share more than you feel ready to. Our team is also on hand to help you put together some words if you need support (email kerri@ectopic.org.uk).

  • Social media updates – Share your progress, training, or preparations on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X or TikTok. Tag us so we can cheer you on, share your journey, and help spread the word.

  • Include photos and videos – People love to see faces, smiles, and milestones. Even a short video update can make your story more engaging and memorable.

  • Highlight why you care – Let people know why supporting The EPT is important to you. Your motivation, personal experiences, or connection to the cause will resonate with potential donors.

  • Go local – Raise awareness through your community by sharing your story with local newspapers, newsletters, or radio stations. We can guide you through this process and have provided a press release template in your handbook to make it simple.

  • Be authentic – There’s no right or wrong way to tell your story. Your honesty, enthusiasm, and passion are what will inspire people to get involved.

Remember, your story doesn’t just encourage donations – it also helps raise awareness of ectopic pregnancy, supports others who may have experienced it, and shows the power of community.

I hope people read my story and know that even after having an ectopic pregnancy and experiencing your darkest days, there can be light at the end of the tunnel. And The EPT will guide and support you every step of the way.

Looking After You

Fundraising is a powerful way to make a difference, but we know it can also bring up strong emotions. Whether you’re fundraising in memory, in celebration, or just to help others, it’s completely natural for feelings to surface along the way.

  • We’re here for you – Our team is always available to offer guidance, support, or just a listening ear. You don’t have to navigate your fundraising journey alone.

  • Support services – The EPT provides a range of services for anyone affected by ectopic pregnancy, including emotional support, information, and guidance. You can find out more here: How we can help.

  • Take care of yourself – Remember that fundraising is a journey, not a race. Pace yourself, take breaks when needed, and celebrate each achievement along the way.

  • Reach out anytime – If you have questions, need advice, or just want to chat about your fundraising plans, email Kerri at kerri@ectopic.org.uk. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Your wellbeing matters as much as your fundraising. By looking after yourself, you can enjoy the process, connect with your community, and make a lasting impact in a way that feels right for you.
